The system can automatically allocate newly received jobs to engineers which is especially useful where work is being received electronically. This allocation can be reviewed and amended or this can be a completely manual process, if preferred. When engineers are using our palmtop computers, office staff can see on the system where everybody is and what they are doing. Their workload is displayed and can be adjusted during the day to improve efficiency and response times. The expected end time of each job or journey is displayed so if an engineer advises the system that they will be delayed on a job, corrective action can be taken. Escalation procedures can be provided to alert an engineer's supervisor in the event a job over-running and no contact being made. Enquiries can then be made in case the engineer has suffered some mishap. |
