We’re so pleased to introduce you to Ella, our newest Degree Apprentice.
Ella is studying for a degree in Chartered Management at Manchester Metropolitan University and, like our other fantastic apprentices, will be in the EPIX offices for four days a week and at uni on the fifth day.
But why did Ella choose a degree apprenticeship, and why did she choose EPIX? Here’s what Ella tells us:
‘A year ago I had no idea what I wanted to do but, coming from a family with its own business, and having helped out throughout my teenage years, I knew that going to university wouldn’t be for me. I started looking at degree apprenticeships in business and came across EPIX Systems. EPIX stood out from the rest as they’re not a huge corporation looking for an apprentice to do small office jobs – instead they have a hands-on approach which is what I was looking for. After my interview and meeting the team, I knew that EPIX was the place for me.
‘In my first few weeks, I visited two customer sites on implementation days with Chris which I really enjoyed – I got to use what I had learned about MARKUS to help others and also saw how the system positively impacts our customers. I’m looking forward to starting university and utilising what I’m learning to aid my role at EPIX. My aim is to get a first class degree and to gain specialised knowledge and skills that I can continue to use at EPIX.’
‘Ella’s made a great start and we love her positivity and can-do attitude,’ says Mike Earl, EPIX’s Managing Director. ‘It’s important to us to build a team for the next 30 years and we see Ella’s role as pivotal in meeting this aim.’
