June Release 2024

Posted on June 14, 2024

Releases

Early last month we went to visit one of our local customers who started with us in 2019. Last year we provided “user guidance” 70 times, helped directly with a task they couldn’t do 15 times,  fixed 3 small bugs, solved 2 mobile connection issues, but made no real changes for them. They felt that they weren’t using the system to its maximum capability. When we visited them their users had lots of questions, we changed various system settings and data to answer their problems, and from that meeting came a list of great ideas.

We made 3 easy changes for them the next day that rolled out to everyone else in the May release, and in this release there are 4 more of their requests – mostly small bits and pieces that would make their life just a little bit easier. Not big exciting new features that we could market to the world, just tweaks to help them. If you’d like a similar visit then please let us know – we are always happy to talk, and MARKUS has grown over the years to be “perfect” exactly because of your feedback.

If you just want to have a quick chat then we are at the Housing 24 show in Manchester between the 25th and 27th June. If you want a free ticket to the exhibition then visit https://eventdata.uk/Forms/Form.aspx?FormRef=Hou64Visitor&FormMode=Visitor&ExhibitorRef=EPIXSYSTEMS to register for the show.

New Features

  • Added extra information relating to orders for the same supplier for the same job when raising a new PO. This is to allow immediate monitoring of engineers repeatedly visiting the same merchant multiple times a day
  • Added client “monitored” field to the client and contract setup screens to allow end-user changes without having to contact us
  • Improved the no access report to allow for extended job information and visit details to be displayed for all live jobs, not just limited to jobs with an active no access
  • Added a batch export option to sales invoices to allow for a single zip file containing all PDFs in a batch
  • Added a dashboard for one visit fix broken down by month
  • Added “visible to operative” slider to the jobsheet to match the “visible to client” slider that allows quick change to the visibility of attachments
  • Added a job history entry when engineer calls the resident (site contact) from the mobile app
  • Improved the separation of days on the new mobile UI
  • Added communication substitutions for annual leave date range to support the new notification email process
  • Added supplier details to the supplier pricing report to allow it to be used as a general purpose price comparison report
  • Added created date to the site report to display when the site was added to MARKUS
  • Added a filter for archived contracts to find jobs – to allow for bulk moving of jobs to alternative contracts
  • Limited the capabilities of the status setup screen so that non-Epix users can now update a status description without accidentally being able to affect the underlying work flow or restrictions
  • Unified the format for on-site worked hours across a number of visit reports to allow easy comparison when exported as a spreadsheet
  • Added the ability to override the engineer’s manager’s email address to forward annual leave updates to
  • Added value columns to the job invoices report to match the find invoice report
